I still don't think pineapple belongs on a pizza. Maybe I've had poor representation of Hawaiian pizza, but it's not good.

I have never had a pineapple based bbq sauce. And I hate Teriyaki way too sweet for me.

pork and pineapple, i'll grant you, is amazing.

beef? ehhhhhhh I'm not seeing it man

it's only good if the ham is kickass and the crust is likewise kickass and flavourful.

if those two things aren't delighting your tastebuds, the pineapple will just drag it down.

I shit you not, one time I crunched up hot cheetos and mixed them with the meat.

It was actually really, really good. Here's why: you can add bread crumb into the ground beef, and that holds in moisture. The cheetos did the same thing except also added flavor.

Bacon, avocado, tomato (GOOD tomato), bbq sauce or Sierra Nevada porter mustard (or both), jalapeno, and sauteed onions is pretty much my perfect burger. I typically grill the burgers over mesquite traditional style charcoal. It's freaking amazing.

Oh, and a toasted bun makes a huge difference too, IMO.

Were they the flaming hot Cheetos or the cheddar jalapeno version? Either one would be good, but I think the cheddar jalapeno Cheetos are freaking incredible.

I agree, a toasted bun adds more then you'd think to a burger.

I don't think I've ever tried the cheddar jalapeno ones. Sounds awesome.

Just went through my old threads trying to find this.... because its seemed rather relevent as of late...

so I found it!

Ok so I have tried many, many, many different recipes and finally settled on this: my own little bit of Heaven.

Ingredients:
1-1 1/2 lbs your favorite fresh ground game meat (for this I used my own freshly killed pronghorn)
1/3-1/2 package crumbled blue cheese or gorgonzola.
Jack Daniels BBQ sauce
Garlic powder
Minced or chopped onions
McCormick Grill Mates Mesquite (or other flavors, they have a few good ones)

Directions:
1. Thaw meat at room temp all day, or all night in fridge.
2. Open Beer.
3. get big mixing bowl and ingredients
4. add thawed meat, venison, elk, antelope, whatever you have.
5. add up to 1/3 of the package of blue cheese
6. add three big dollops of JD BBQ sauce
7. add about 2-4 tbl of garlic powder
8. add about 2-4 tbl of chopped or minced onions
9. add about 2-4 tsp of grillmates mesquite
10. mix thoroughly
11. pat into patties
12. grill medium heat for about ten minutes
13. turn flame off and add cheese. (we like Tillamook swiss or cheddar best)
14. top and enjoy (we like butter lettuce, tomato, ketchup, & sometimes bacon)
15. dont forget to open a fresh beer as needed

pictures as it goes:

After tasting this recipe..... she has eaten my deer killed this August and my antelope just back from the processor today!
She's a wimp and now she LOVES my burgers!!!!!

At first glance that looks like lobes of liver in several pictures. I had to look closer and read the recipe.
