I cleaned my basement and work area today started clearing the backlog of repairs. I got the black Tele off the bench (tuner, bridge), Srtat and Les Paul next. I am still waiting for Pat to get back from vacation to do the LSR. Then I will bang out the rest of the 2014 build.
It is so nice to have a clean work area. Lets see how long I can keep it this way.

If it was 100% sponsored we would think about doing a giveaway. Seeing some costs come out of pocket for me, the guitar stays with me. The LSR mod will cost a couple of bucks, then there is pots, wiring, plates and other various stuff.

The guitar is boxed up and heading to Pat DiBurro for the LSR and the side dots. People from all over the country ship their guitars to Pat he is considered one of the best in the industry.

Had a real bad experience with a roller nut and I can't believe you aren't doing the dots yourself. Heck how hard can that nut be to install ?

Seriously. A nail to make an indentation and a little dab of nail polish to fill it in. Five minute hack.

I figured while it was there and he was working on the neck why the hell not. Pat is reasonably priced and it is more a time thing than anything. Between work, going back to guitar lessons and the site I am swamped. Plus Pat wont use a nail and nail polish he will do it right.

Installing the LSR correctly can be a bitch. The nut slot has to be routed wider to fit the nut. If you go too wide or deep your neck is fucked. I have fucked up one already that Pat had to fix. That being said I love the LSR on my black Strat and have never had a problem. What kind of problems did you run into?
