God of War

I borrowed games 1 & 2 from my son. Currently playing 2 on the PS3. I had given my son a controller pack with these games as a Christmas present last year (or was it the year before?).

I had gotten bored with the COD & BF games. They seem to be getting worse with new editions.

God of War took me back to old school offline gaming (although I did a good bit of that with GTA IV a few months ago). Fighting combined with problem solving/puzzles. I must confess, though, that I'd be stumped on some levels without online walkthroughs.

Anyone else play these games, past or present?

That game has been on my short list for years. I am not a gamer that needs to have the latest release. I am much happier picking up something like GOW I used for $10.

I don't follow the walkthroughs step by step. It means I miss some things, but it also means I'm figuring out some things for myself.

Some of the problems/puzzles would not be resolved without assistance, though.
