I come from a long line of Baptist preachers. I also have a sales and marketing background. We might be able to make a bit of change off this deal.

Jordan, you've nailed a large segment of the folks in that population.

There is far more elitism than there should be. The good news is that there is some level of spiritual accountability.

Tube and pedal snobbery often can be WORSE among those folks.

Occasionally I'll try to mimic the Edge tones for specific parts. I use far more delay in church than in my band, and I have NEVER stacked delays. Heck, I can barely program the things.

I don't stack over drives, but I do occasionally add OD to a higher gain setting.

The need for significant tonal changes on the fly is why I'll continue to use my POD. Some of the necessary pedal dances exceed my dexterity. The POD allows me to do so with ONE switch.
Because I said so.

That is kind of funny , my guitar guy plays at church and brought this up to me months ago. Pretty sure he knows a guy at Strymon so I think he got one at cost. Had the whole convo about The Edge and multiple delays on at the same time. Other church guy that used to be my friend asked me about amps 20 years ago and his church bought him the Matchless combo I picked out which was pretty damn cool.
