i like the 'drug tests for dole' idea, and i see what you're getting at with the elderly road act, but it won't keep idiots off the road.
i basically live on the road, and i do notice them sitting right on or under the speed limit (gasp), but aside from that i don't notice them.
probably because they're not driving along with a mobile in one hand and an ipod in the other, lol

A lot of them. We had what was clasified as "victorias oldest hoon " [ Hoon = diving too fast - lots. ] A granny in her late 80's or early nineties got busted for doing160 kph [ 100 Mph ] and a bit pissed.It wasn't quite true. Some old guy around this way got done doing over 170 Kph, 176 I think.
The ones that get me are the ones that drive into shopping strips instead of backing out of their parking spots. Hit the accelerator instead of the brake and don't think to take their foot off it. It seems to be the domain of late 70's and on.

I propose a law where auto companies need to put a 5 second turn signal disengage timer on their cars.

Two more laws I am proposing:
There should be a simple 20 questions test in the voting booth. If you don’t score at least an 80% you don’t get to vote.
Sample question:
Who is in line for the presidency after the President and Vice President?
The First Lady
The Head of the FBI
The Speaker of the House
Secretary of State
Secretary of Homeland Security
Second new law. ID scanners in the voting booths. If you are over 18 and do not have some sort of State or Government issued ID you are not responsible enough to vote.

You can't deny someone their right to vote, however, I think you are on to something.
Votes should be weighted according to your proposed test. Like, everyone starts out with 100 votes, then you take the test in the voting booth and lose votes according to your results. You aren't given your results either. That would include the ID thing, the first question is "Can I see your ID please?" if you don't have any, -50 votes, then you take the test to see how many more you lose.
