Anybody been watching Last Week Tonight with John Oliver?
Even though he came from the Daily Show, and closely resembles Stewart in style, the format of the show is totally different. He really delves into the main issue each week, sometimes for nearly twenty minutes. But I think the genius of his show is his use of comedy. He tackles topics that are either mind-numbingly boring (like this segment on net neutrality), incredibly depressing (like this segment on prison), or just topics that nobody else dares to tackle for fear of losing advertising revenue (like his rant on GM) and uses comedy to entice us into watching. I love it.
Give it a chance before you write him off for being a liberal, or a comedian. Or both.
Anybody else a fan?
