Normally I'd be aghast at not having a marshall type pedal on my board - I've had something in that vein on my board for the last few years. But now that I have an amp that does the Marshall thing better than any Marshall I've played, I can just use that amp when I'm feeling that tone. Now I may lack a Marshall when I play my Fender, but I'm fine with that.
An Egnater is a Marshall. As far as I can tell, Marshall hasn't made a Marshall since the 1970's.
I'm in a similar boat. I have a Wallace BKW45 that does Marshall better than my Marshall JCM900 SL-X. When I surfed the stores looking for a modern Marshall I could gig with, the Vox Valvestate 120 did Marshall better than any EL-34 tube-based Marshall on the floor. SansAmp and Carl Martin do Marshall better than Marshall these days, IME.
