Let's talk about high output.

You're going about this all wrong. It's not the pickup.

You need a Metalzone!
Because I said so.

Carvin M22SD - hard, loud, bight, but lacks subtlety and warmth.
Dimarzio Evolution - Very unique sounding with a huge bass response. Plenty of cut and drive.
Dimarzio Megadrive - like a passive EMG81.
Dimarzio Super Distortion - Thick, smooth, fuzzy and lively.
Duncan Custom 8 - Hot, thick, muscular and huge bass response.
Duncan Designed HB104 – The so called Iommi bucker. Strange beast. Very scooped.
Duncan Distortion - Tight, thick, muscular and resonant.
Entwistel HDN - Cheap, Neodymium magnet, bright, excellent definition, incredibly powerful and resonant.
Entwistel X2 - Cheap, double thick ceramic magnet, hot, fuzzy, bright, but it lacks clarity.
Gibson 500T - constipated, dry and cold.
Gibson Dirty Fingers - Big, Hairy, sweaty, slobbering tone. Not great for clarity, but it has a lot of drive.
Kent Armstrong M215 Mega Distortion - Cheap, halfway between a Duncan Distortion and a Dimarzio Super Distortion. Try to find one of the epoxy potted EMG style for greater clarity and resonance. Good value.
Might Mite Motherbucker - Cheap, this pickup is DOOM!!! I have one in a baritone and it does Fireball Ministry, COC, Mastadon and HOF all day. Excellent value.
PJ Marxx 412 - Kind of like a louder and more powerful JB, but with more clarity and midrange scoop. Doubt you will find one.
Randall Ultra XL - hard, loud, bight, but lacks subtlety and warmth.

Holy shit, Snowdog. Thanks for that list!

I may need to look into the Motherbucker.

I doubt you will be disappointed in the Motherbucker. Supposedly that pickup was designed by Seymour Duncan when he worked for Mighty Mite in the 70's. At $20 per pickup it is a great value.

Who comes up with this riffery?

Dimarzio Megadrive - like a passive EMG81. No that's just a silly thing to say.

I have one of thso0e puppies in my fusion.

Hehe, you know I'll drop cash on all kinds of shit, bro.

I do have a guitar that needs a cheap pickup and I've never looked at mighty mite so I may as well double up.
