It's made for guitars essentially.
It was cheap, it has one chip and a few caps in it. Not the sort of stuff with which to dominate life on Planet Dirt.
.

Here is a pic of a random granny. Did you know they can affect your tone ?

She's dead actually; murdered, but she'll give you a killer tone.

!kI dunno man. Small passive components are the stuff than society is built on. Without them all of modern society would crumble like a wet cake

It must be hard being so old that you can't even turn the gain up on your amp.

Yes. It is a TS 80 that I've extensively renovated. I've modified it to the 100 watt version [ Vase supplied me the circuits ] 2 X KT88's [ Genuine GEC's ] output.
That's a 400 watt SD stereo Quad box.

The sounclick link is me improing over a Jam track. [ Vai's The Animal ] through that in my " Rainbow Loungeroom Studio "
It's from around five years ago when the guitar [ Epi LP ]sported some hacked Epi pups. It has different ones now. I must do another take and compare.

How far can you take that amp? Will it fully break up into full bone crunching metal? Or does it require a tube screamer?

Those two links are new vase amps, mine is a guenuine 60's/70's one.
Probably those cabinets you've got are too. You didn't get an amp with them [ Vase ] ?

I got the amp from a guy who played rythm in a Punk/head banger band I mixed live for a while back around 1998> 2000. He had the cabinet too which was an open back design . We stuck a sealed back on it.That was around the same time they recorded some tracks that I mixed down for them.
This is one of them - http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_...i&newref=1 -
Any of the BHK stuff on my Soundclick page is him using it. He's the rythm guitarist. [ The lead is a Marshal ]
He used to use it cranked with an EQ pre-amp boost.
He used to use a dirt box with it but it lacked oomph to him. I suggested remove it and use the boost only. That worked for him.
He ended up buying a Marshal head which he used with the Vase cabinet.and the Vase sat around unused. I offered to buy it from him and he went for it.

Me
The Rock jam is cranked and through my TC Compressor sustain/parametric EQ, which boosts the signal as well.
No dirt pedals.
It is just Loud and clean with a bit of break up cranked. If you wanted crunchy mental you'd probably need a dirt box.
