In fact, I may just hose my hands off with brake cleaner to make sure they're super oil-less and dry.
I don't think Joe's gonna show up. I barked up that tree for quite some time and I don't know if it's because I come off as such a dickhead or if he's just busy, but we've never gotten together. I gave up.
It'll happen. I've been meaning to hit him up again.

I do this too - I also get long string life ( aggressively wipe them down after playing), but the real benefit for me for washing the 'ol mitts is it hardens the fingertips up after they dry.

Really I get a good year plus of playing out of a set of Cleartones on my guitars I don't play a lot. The set on my squire bass is over 2 years old and still feel new.

New info on the CV Strat , I removed one of the trem springs and now it actually feels good to play. I am curious if you ever listened to your Babicz equipped guitars from the back guys ? came up while I was working on this one and it seems to be almost amplified if you lean the guitar over and play it unplugged. Strat and Tele and the 335 is a little less it seems because it is semi hollow .

They call it the 'clue-by-4' in Alabama. I've adopted it too...
Alabamians have the funniest technical terms... I mean that in the best way possible.
Here's another:
DNS problem -
DNS stands for 'domain name system' in internetspeak...
The Alabamian meaning is "Don't kNOw Shit"... Its brightened more than a few Network Engineers' days...
That guy must have a DNS problem...
Smart and hilarious!
