A rewind at this time is a bit overkill.

My Email address is in my profile page.

Quote:See how that dude did it? Just unwrapped a fraction and joined it back on. No sure how gv will want to do it but whatever way i dont really care as long as it works. Cheers

He 's talking about a break in the coil wind near the outer edge on that.

Those breaks on yours are just at the coil ends. The outer one could be unwound a turn to reconnect it. The inner one can't. Need to attach an extra piece of conductor [ wire ]. I've done this in the past.

Hey Raph, I've done it. What Model pup is it ? BKP ............?
What Resistance should it read, do you know ? It's reading 28-29K.
The highest output BKP I could find was the Sinner at 22.5K.

The wire in that is so fine I didn't try to unwind it. I removed the tape but the sticky goo from the tape was still holding the wire firmly so I abandoned unwinding it as I feared it may break easily. As you can see in the pics I've added two short wires [ 16Amp fuse wire to be exact ]. The coil wires are soldered to them. They are super glued from the eyelet end to stop any movement breaking the coil wire where it is soldered. If you put a cover on it, modify it so that the bottom edge does NOT go all the way down and interfere with the coil wires where they come from the coil.[IOW: so it doesn't break them ]:old:

It looks like there's little solder blobs. It's not , it's the light reflecting in the superglue.

PS: That screw on the pole was on there when I recieved the pup. I left it there so I didn't lose it.

About twenty minutes or so of " let's not rush ". [ Explore under coil tape, ascertained unwinding not a good idea. Do up tape. Clean the surfaces ,attatch extra wire, clean and tin coil wire ends and solder to the extra wires. Superglue, resolder B&W leads. Reclean.Test - Ohmage measurement. Connect through amp and hold over strings of guitar].
