I can't believe I'm considering this.

Plus I'm most comfortable on 25.5" or higher.

It's a lot easier to keep my playing cleaner with the extra tension. I pick really fuckin' hard.

Sure, I could just get a way thicker low B string but does B really need to sound that much more massive?

I agree. I have two 7s. One is 27" and the other is 26.5". I don't like anything below 26.5" on a 7-string to give me proper tension. My 27" uses 9-46 and a 56 low B, where as my 26.5 uses 10-46 and a 59 or 60 low B.

I got my PRS bari in near mint condition, but when my dog knocked it and the rest of my PRS over when I was shooting a picture, it was damaged... but I don't really care.

Even with my D'avanzo, I won't care as much. Granted, I'll do everything in my power to make sure I keep it in mint condition, but I know it will eventually get damaged, and I'm okay with that. Because they're instruments, not wall art.

My point is that if you're the kind of person that might be reluctant to let loose on a pretty guitar, maybe you shouldn't own any super pretty guitars until you're at a point in your life where you have enough guitars that it just doesn't matter anymore.

tl;dr sell it and get something you don't care about getting beat up. Like a MIJ Ibanez.

Yah got me all wrong broseph.

I don't play the PRS much anymore. Not because I'm afraid of scratching it or anything.
