NFL Talk - 2008
bobbyt2 Wrote:Giants = best team in football:cool: (for now)

This week will be a battle to the end. No MB3, No Plax, & possibly no Jacobs... It will be in the hands of the QBs. Romo has traditionally done well against the GMEN (during the reg. season) this is a MUST WIN game for them. Can't waithuge grin

I'll be shocked if Barber doesn't try to play this week after Jerry Jones called him out. I like the Boys chances IF he can play. He might have a chip on his shoulder. The Boys have also been good on Sunday Nights. The defense seems to be turning the corner. But the injuries have to stop. They lost 2 safeties vs Pittsburgh and are moving CB Henry to safety. I can't wait either after last week's heartbreaker.

No DirectTV works shitty in NH and you max out at 3 recievers we had 7 TVs in the old house and 5 in this one, 3 bedrooms, living room and my office. So by the time I get done paying for extra recievers it gets pretty expensive. With cable I just plug the cable into the TV, only the HiDef downstairs has a box. I did think about putting it on just one TV and still but I would still need cable. $330 + $150 per year just to watch Dolphins games?

totally agree. But don't you think they are better than any team in the NFC south (well maybe not Carolina, not sure about them)? Dallas beat Tampa with Brad Johnson for pete's sake. Injuries have also plagued both teams but hey it's part of the game. My point is you just like to see the best teams in the playoffs. No one from the NFC central should be in the playoffs at all or AFC west for that matter.

so what do you do, hit up the local sports bar or just wait for the highlights?

Luckily, I'm grandfathered into a Sunday Ticket w/o regular programming with DirecTV from back in the late 90s. So I only pay for the Sunday Ticket (like 219 a year). But I only needed it 3 times this year to watch the Cowboys. I get a lot of games locally because I get both Philly & NY stations with Comcast. My main problem is that I can't upgrade the dish to HD w/o having to purchase the whole package. So I have to watch some SD games. I'm not sure why I still pay for it.

It is what it is. Sure, I want to see the best teams in the playoffs, but I really don't know who they are yet. Are Dallas and Philly better than Tampa and Atlanta? Probably, but Dallas and Philly aren't as good as I thought they'd be this season either.

nobody is really. The best team all season has been the Giants and Philly proved they are beatable as well. Lots of football left...

I have the NFL Network so I get pretty good coverage and get to see the big plays. I have my laptop next to me tracking my Fantasy team so I watch the box score on that .
