That does look good and further proof vegan does not mean healthy.

Vegan definitely does not mean healthy! Some vegan food is very, very healthy but when we start getting into fried vegan foods, anything with sugar, vegan cheeses, breads and a lot of other stuff there is nothing healthy about it! I have been a vegan for 8 years now but I am also a vegan chef. I suffered a mild stroke in 2006 when I was only 23 years old because I was eating meat and cheese at every single meal of the day since I was a kid really. If that wasn't enough for me I blew out my aortic valve a little bit later on. Then I made the decision to stop smoking cigarettes, stop eating meat, dairy and cheese. I have not had any major health issues since. So, for me, the vegan diet has definitely been a healthier diet. That being said...

I have seen my weight fluctuate quite a bit. Vegans in general have a lower risk of heart disease, lower cholesterol and lower risk of heart attacks or stroke but the vegans who eat tons of oils (for example) have a very high risk of heart attack. I do have very low cholesterol though but without exercise it's tough to keep the weight off. I did the raw vegan thing for 2 years from 2007 to 2009 and that diet was super healthy. It's often referred to as the "rock star" diet because there is a lot of salad involved. It was easy to keep weight off and build muscle on that diet.

However, as I am typing this, I am in need of some serious exercise. I make and eat way too much vegan junk food. That shit is delicious. I have a broken foot at the moment because my girlfriend challenged me to dance to some MC Hammer a few weeks ago. I said "of course I can still do that, I'm only 31". Well, I definitely pulled some white boy moves off to the music but my foot landed oddly on our concrete floor and now I am back to getting fatter.

Yeah man. It's almost all the way healed now though. I went for a light jog last night with only minimal soreness in the area where I broke it. No swelling after waking up this morning either so I'm hopeful I'm in the clear now.
