The Deans have the stock no-name Czech pups with oversized screw poles and the Hamer has Lace Alumitone Deathbuckers. I am trying them out but they could use more mids. The burst and Hamer both have Faber Tone Lock ABR-1 bridges and the last one is on the way.

Those are rad. Is the Hamer the one that was stolen a long ass time ago and then TC on SDUGF bought it later? Anyway, that's a rad collection of korina.
How would you describe the difference between korina and mahogany?

Honestly...not much, compared to either a really thin or resonant piece of mahogany. It might be a little livelier, depending on the desnsity of the particular piece and how well it was dried, I guess. The best I can do is comparing it to making everything more SG-like...resonant? Responsive? Something like that.
Even then, unless you're Brentrocks nailing E chords in your basement, alone, it's likely all lost. I just like the grain lol.
