Spraying some coats today

What did you thin the oil down with? Does it spray on ok? Anything else i need to know?

I used mineral spirits. Thinned it down 1:1. It sprays nicely, though it's susceptible to runs if I try to lay down too much at a time.

Maybe less thinning then? I always have a hair dryer on hand.

On your sample piece rub it down with kero between coats. Thats what i have been meaning to try anyway.

So i've been spraying coats on and off as much as possible, though it's been really annoying. I will only spray when the humidity is 50% or lower and those sorta days are sporadic at best here. The humidity levels rocket back and forth between, on average, 60% and 100%. So i gotta wait for a perfect confluence of time, humidity and temperature to be able to lay down even a few coats.

But anyway, i do it when I can, and there's not too much left to do except finish the clear coats and buff it up, then assemble. Assuming i can get a couple of nice days in the nezt week or so, it should be done pretty soon. And then guitar porn will ensue.

I have been playing with the tru oil.....its slow going

Still got a couple of touch ups to do later, but the colour phase is like 99% complete.
