Always sober for the rest of eternity. I am starting to get angry I didn't buy a lap steel from the custom builder guy in that short lived music store. Guy that opened it was a moron but the builder did solid work just liked flashy and pretty but used cheap hardware and pickups.

A lot of people like the idea of a lap steel. It's the actual usage that turns them off. They realize that they don't want to play country/western and they can't figure out how to make it work outside that genre. So my advice would be to by one of these $100 models and figure out if you can use it?
