New pedalboard preview
#21
Any idea how heavy that's going to be , all assembled ? It looks like it might be quite heavy.

I haven't weighed it yet. I probably should though. I know the case is pretty heavy. It wouldn't surprise me if the whole thing is around fifty pounds.

I think I came up with the perfect solution for mounting my wah pedal. I'm going to make a riser for it just like all the other pedals, so I'll be able to route the power and audio cables under the board. However, on the top of the riser I'm also going to route holes for the rubber feet, as well as a little well for the plastic battery holder. This way, I can affix the wahs with velcro instead of buying/making one of those wooden wah wah plates that screws onto the shell. This should allow me to quickly and easily switch between my purple 70's crybaby, my blue musonic/colorsound clone, and whatever other crybaby wahs I acquire in the future while still being able to use them on the floor like a regular wah.

I'll be doing that tomorrow, as well as hopefully finishing up the routing work for both the main board and the riser.

I took the feet and battery cover off my (Dunlop) wah pedal when I velcro-ed it down.  Might be easier than routing?

It might be, but then if I want to switch wah pedals I have to go out the feet a and cover back on. If I tie it once I can just swap then instantly.

Instead of making a riser for the wah and elevating it even more, I decided to just route the feet holes right into the board. Success!

It wasn't perfect, but that's what wood filler is for.

It occurred to me after I did the routing for the wah pedal that there's no reason to do risers for the rest of my pedals. All they'll do is make painting even harder. So I'm just going to route the board itself to hide the cables.
