Nothing like Fender Fucking Reverb.

needs more knobs. hehe nar cool brotawah
I can't really give a full review yet, as all I've got to remember it by is the imprint it left in my skull and a slightly racist video I sent Devin to show off how awesome it is. (Layaway, I'll pick it up after I get my paycheck later this week.)
I don't have any experience with Fender's separate reverb units, just with fender's onboard amp reverb. I've heard for a while now that they're different beasts, and having played this reverb unit I can confirm that (at least my unit) is much less like the reverb on a Twin Reverb than one would expect. This reverb doesn't "drip" with spring and sproing like you would want if you're playing covers of "Wipeout." Honestly, I got way more of a plate reverb vibe from this unit, at least the way I was setting it (medium decay, tone was around half, the mix not overwhelmingly high.) If you turn up the dwell, you can definitely get a more metallic and springy spring reverb tone, but I really love that it has more of an infinite sustain thing going on than metal springs reverberating. I can really see this reverb unit upping my ambient tonal capabilities, especially when layered with delay and perhaps a nice chorus. Oh and that's another thing, I don't even miss modulated reverb with this unit. It just sounds so damn good and natural that I could swear there's something modulate-y going on in there... Honestly, it's just the best damn reverb I've ever heard. I've never been much of a reverb guy (I've only ever had a Hall of Fame and the H9 for reverb) but I hope this will only ever leave me because I need money. Don't get me wrong, it's pretty damn expensive for being "just reverb," but it's note even nearly the same animal as a reverb pedal. Plus, not only is the value more likely to go up than down, but it just looks cool as a decorative piece. And plus, it fucking matches my Bassman. (no silver trim but that's ok.) Yes, I'm totally trying to justify buying it.

No need to justify. The tank is a beast that must be experienced.
I prefer plate (from my Lexicon) myself.

So I need to make a footswitch for the tank for my pedalboard. Anybody know if the unit will send power for an LED indicator?
I could just use a 3 or 5mm indicator, but I want to do it up with silverface cosmetics and a fender amp jewel light. That would be fucking tits. Anybody know if that will work? Sent from my 831C using Tapatalk
I doubt it... We're talking about pre-Agile days. Hell, we're talking lreese as a wee 'lil lad days!
I'm actually using my RI reverb footswitch on my 2:90 LOL

I'm using a boss footswitch at the moment, but I'm a slut for killer cosmetics. I want to get a phase 90 size enclosure and do it up silverface style because that's how I roll.
