This is actually a belated NAD. About a month and a half late.
I bought for next to nothing, a 1968 all tube head, point to point handwired. It's a Lifco model 1000. Electrically it's a clone of the early Traynor yba-1 Bass Master, which makes it a close cousin of the 5F6A '59 Fender Bassman and the Marshall JTM45. It's currently running the original RCA 7027A power tubes and has two of the original made in canada 12ax7's in the preamp alongside a groove tubes 12ax7.
You can probably tell where i'm going with this...
Mods up the wazoo.
Adding in a few mods to take it back to full bassman/jtm specs, ability to use and bias up different power tubes, as well as some other nonsense for my own pleasure like extra gain stages and voicing options in the tone stack and NFB circuits.

Nice , sounds good. I am starting to get worked up about amp mods for the TM 36 already , no frikking ext. speaker jack. Schematics for it apparently don't exist either. Have fun with your mods and let's hear it again when you are finished.

Damn, that's clean inside. Nice score!
Now blow out some eardrums.
Someone should put that in their signature…

clean? it's a goddamn bowl of spaghetti. When doing my mods I'm gonna attempt to clean it up as best I can.
And I have been blowing out eardrums. I did some calculations and realized that my amp should be doing only about 40-50 watts, but is actually pushing closer to 60-70W.
It's so terrifyingly loud, I can't turn it up into overdrive territory at practice with the guys because it drowns out everything, including other guitarist's Orange 100W Rockerverb+4x12. I need to install a master volume asap. And maybe a half-power switch as well.

Not a lot inside there. I love your rectifying section. According to the data sheet the 7027A is capable of 76 Watts in a push pull configuration.

May all of your own biological point-to-point spaghetti look so clean when you are pushing 50. :old:
