My replaced motherboard has been either losing the wireless connection or bluescreening. It bluescreened twice this morning.

Strangely enough my wireless is fine since the fresh start. I'll still swap it out when the replacement arrives.

We installed the new adapter yesterday.

Today I got two BSODs. I ran restore and got it up and running again, but I had to reinstall the adapter driver.

Now it won't recognize iphone.

laugh

After over 30 minutes it finally reinstalled the phone driver, and the audio is weird again. The windows sounds won't test, but most other audio works.

I'm beginning to think I might be better off upgrading to Win10...but I'm still reluctant.

Working fine until the new adaptor went in ?

I'd uninstall it and go back to the old one.

Another laptop reloaded with Windurs. No problems and back at the customers.

It turned out that this one was fine. The wireless worked back at the customers home.

It also turned out that the Laptop is working better than it has for years after a few OS reloads and peoples attempts at " fixing " it.

I got myself a new wireless adaptor a while back. No more Blue screens or dropped connections since.

The new wireless adapter did not solve my BSOD problems. I went a couple of weeks with NO problems, then got another BSOD last week. I decided to reseat the RAM.

The next day when I tried to turn on the PC I kept getting a "2 beep" alert and no startup. I checked it a couple of times. I moved RAM around. I took one out. I took 3 out.

I left it alone, then researched new laptops.

The next day I took the beast out again, laid it on the couch, and PRESSED on the RAM. Turned out it wasn't seating. doh

I thought it was going in too easily. :(

Would you believe it? Not long after I posted this the wireless adaptor started failing to initialize at boot up, or connect at an odd or slowed connection speed, Alternatively it has been suddenly dropping the connection. Smack
Did it twice earlier.
