Hooch Wrote:Here's another thing I wanted to run by the group. With the Thursday games... I like to keep voting open until Sunday, people still get their picks in on Friday and Saturday and have the chance to pick the thursday night game after the fact. Instead of saying I'm not awarding prizes to anyone who votes late, should I just close voting for the one game on Thursday at game time.
Its one game a week, not that big a deal, but with the crazy Thanksgiving schedule coming up, alot of people will forget to vote, and its a whole 3 games. I'd rather give them losses for those 3 and let them try to get the Sunday games right instead of closing voting on Thursday.
Opinions?
I didn't realize we could vote "after the game" on Thurs. That was one of my only losses:mad:
In FF leagues that I am in , we have to submit our entire lineup before the first game of the week, & live with the results. Do what works for you.

There is probably a way, but I'll be damned if I know how to do it.

Could you make two different pages, one for just the Thursday game(s) and the regular Sunday games?

Then we would have to manually carry over the Thursday votes and tally them.

The Beat The House page as you see it today was the hardest part about moving the site. Hooch almost threw in the towel on that one. It took a host of people to get it where it is. Dont expect video highlights on that page anytime soon we are lucky we got what we got.

Yeah, on the nights I don't wake up screaming because I rooted for the Giants in the Superbowl, I wake up screaming about what I went thru to finally get BTH live right at the buzzer.
doesn't matter to me... i suck at this and generally forget about the thursday night game.
i would suggest the games but cut off at the half on the respective day it's played, but that's easy to say and hard for Hooch to make happen after knowing what it took to get it up and running...
he even asked me for help, and i'm fucking useless.

Hooch,
Is it just coincidence that you have the same score as the house? You know you'll never win if you keep agreeing with yourself.
Will it blend? That is the question.
