I'm not usually into these kinds of shows, but we've been binge-watching Homeland. We just wrapped up Season 2 with a (spoiler!)
At first I was a bit put off by the hyper post-911 mindset of the show. And you have to suspend your disbelief a little - there are more holes in the story than there are in Abu Nasir's chest. (Whoops - another spoiler!) But as the plot lines develop, I realized it is more nuanced than I initially gave it credit for. It is loaded with commentary on the so-called War On Terror.
Action-packed food for thought, without the problems of garlic.
