How does that thing sound I just decided to look for clips and there weren't any ? Just curious about the size of the cabinet vs the 15" speaker ? Seems to me that an open back might be a requirement?

What cab did you go with? I don't know if I want to build one or buy it. I am a carpenter after all, and my coffee table 2x12 came out perfect a few years ago. If I can find one for the right price, I'd just buy it.

Let's edit this a little:

Securb, would you mind giving me the dimensions on your cabinet? I have 6 pieces of scrap pine from a kitchen cabinet repair I did about 3 years ago, neatly stacked with lots of weight on them. They are straight as an arrow, and if they do bow a little, I can take them to my neighbors garage and plane them.

They are roughly 7/8" thick, 18" wide, and about 3 feet long. The problems I'll hit are the baffle and back plate, but this may be one of those time where an open back is a good thing.
That leaves the baffle. I'd hate to pay $40-$60 for a piece of wood, and only actually use 35-40% of it.

Shit! I'm rambling again. Hook me up with those dimensions, bro. I'll have a better idea if I know exactly what I need.
I hear Mexico is nice this time of year.

Sounds great. I like it open with the Orange, closed with the Marshall. It is very full but not boomy. Check out the review on the front of the site.

The cab I bought is 18 x 18 x 12 here is a link http://www.ebay.com/itm/351570326278 extra 12.50 for removable back and 18 bucks for the grill. We will see how it works out , I have a 1x15 Ampeg Bass cab that is much larger to try the guitar speaker in if I don't like this one. here are the specs for the rocketcab C-4 Custom 1x15 Extension Cabinet

Cabinet size: 22" W x 18" H x 11" D

That should get the job done. I rehearsed with my bass player Saturday with the Micro Terror and the 15 and it sounded fantastic.

There will be a clip eventually , speaker arrives by Thur or so. The thing is that I am going to use it with the HK to make more sound , not as a standalone cab. I still want to build a cab with a 15,12 and 10 in it.

[Image: SANY0007_1.jpg] [Image: SANY0004.jpg] [Image: SANY0003_2.jpg] and the moron move of the day screwdriver vs speaker [Image: SANY0005_2.jpg] Mounted in the front instead of rear because of size I did not put any squishy tape under the speaker because it is on top of the carpet. Sounds fine but looks like the thiele cab is louder by a good bit

It sounds pretty good hard to get a good read on it yet , for the demo purpose it passes with flying colors. I need to get a mic on it and see what that tells me. The HK combo has a theile cabinet with a Vintage 30 that is pretty loud might have to put the 15 on the amp stand to get it off the floor. Still not sure if I like it best opened or closed either. For the total cost of just under $300 it is pretty fantastic. I guess it will be up to Devin to make the final report.
