I officially shlappa da bass.
Since I got invited to play bass in the company band, I actually need a bass rig. And the first piece of that includes... well, a bass.
I went into guitar center and played a few basses. Outside of the Amercian Deluxe J bass (it can switch between a passive tone circuit and an active 3 band - sounds fucking amazing but it's 1700) this was the one that called to me the most. It's a Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar, and it's just great for the money. It definitely needs some new pickups, I'm either going to change the 2 band eq to a 3 band or make it passive (haven't decided yet), and I'm probably going to throw a cool bridge and hipshot tuners on it, but it will more than work in the interim. Plus, for 200 bucks, I really do love it.

, I'm as guilty as the rest of you. As musicians we sometimes hear things differently than others. This is good for creative purposes. It can be bad for social relations because we "mishear" some communications.
Jordan, I have to ask if you misheard the question. You do work for a law firm that specializes in major class action lawsuits.
Did they ask if you would schlappa da bass yourself for the company band?
OR
Did they ask if you would slap and debase yourself for the company bandwagon?
Because I said so.

So you're saying... He added the 'B' to make it sound a little more wholesome?
Anyway - That's a really sharp bass...

I thought about it, but I think I'm going to go for the KSM Foundation bridge instead.
