Seismic Audio Cabs
#1
Ok, so I am back but I need to get a rig together. Nothing too amazing... just something to play.

I still have so much shit to buy, I don't even have a car yet. Moving back from Europe has been a pain in the ass. That being said, I kept my Eminence Cannabis Rex 12" speaker so I need a good cab to put it in. I saw these Seismic Audio cabs on Ebay from $125 to $150 shipped...

Have any of you guys tried them?

Here is one of the cabs they offer: http://www.ebay.com/itm/380953726287?_tr....S2.R1.TR5

Looks like they are 1/2" birch ply, but if built well, should work fine. Specs look good. It's a just a little bit oversized, which I like.
I hear Mexico is nice this time of year.

Keep in mind that if you are going to be cranking it you start to lose the resonance of the cab at certain volumes and the tone of the speaker takes over. So the louder you play the less the cab materials matters. Looks like a solid cab I think you will be fine.

Fuck it, I might just have to bite the bullet and order one. I just got another client tonight too so, I just have to decide which one. They have a few different options and sizes...

Then I'll have to start looking at some heads. It will be nice to jam out loud again soon though.

If you are looking for great tone on the cheap the Micro Terror is a little beast. They are loud as fuck and sound great. You can find them used for $100 and new for $150

Ironically, I have been pretty intrigued by the idea of buying some kind of Orange.

I could never wrestle a good tone out of an Orange til I got this thing. The damn think has me thinking about a OR15.

I still haven't pulled the trigger on a cab yet... I almost did this morning but somehow I have become responsible with my money. Fuck.
