Look at what I just scored off craiglist

Well I found the last two non-display models of this speaker that this place in St. Paul had left: http://www.ebay.com/itm/151623859731?_tr...EBIDX%3AIT

So I ordered them. It's gonna be a bass cab after all. I would not have ordered those speakers so quickly had I not found out they have been discontinued.

My plan is to wire these two 4 ohm speakers in series to make an 8 ohm cab. Now I'm on the hunt for a GK 1001 RB at the right price. I'll be patient for the right used one. I gigged with that amp for so many years and recorded with it too. I know there have been a lot of advances in bass amps since the 1001RB but that amp is special to me.

I would still give the Tubemeister a run through it to see what you think. Many a guitar player played through bass cabs and got great results.

Oh for sure man, as soon as I pick up a Tubemeister I'm gonna give these 15's a whirl! The worst part is going to be installing these speakers this weekend on Saturday or Sunday maybe and realizing I still don't have a GK or Tubemesiter yet.

I might have to come up a bit on my bottom line price on those amps once I'm staring at 2 unused 15's

What you need to do is forget about the Tubemeister and find a Sunn 300t.

It is three hundred tube watts of fucking destruction. Designed for bass but sounds awesome when using it for guitar.

WWII was won with less firepower.
Trust me, I'm a medical professional.

Lmao, I highly doubt I will ever need 300 watts of guitar power but it sounds tempting just to feel my nuts vibrate themselves into a pendulum... then again I can do that with just about any bass rig!

This won't just vibrate your nuts - it will empty them.

You know the feeling of taking off in an airplane? When your stomach feels like it's jumping?

Imagine that sensation while having your prostate squeezed like a capri sun pouch.

Now that I think about it, I do want a Marty McFly experience like that someday. Shit, that should be on all of our bucket lists!

Now I'm thinking about picking up an old Peavey 4x12 ported bass cab too
