I'm sure you've noticed the circular saw in the first picture by now. I wouldn't recommend that method to anyone. Use a table saw or a big enough compound miter saw. It'll save you some money on materials.

Managed to get a little bit more done after dinner. I ripped a 2x4 pine stud into 7/8" strips for my bracing, then layed out and cut the bracing for the long runs. They are what the rear panel and baffle will attach to. It will also help me line everything up to glue, clamp, and screw it perfectly square. Hopefully I can get that done tomorrow.
