I've ordered some more appropriate cans including the multi cap. They're coming from the US so it will be a few weeks before I see them.
I'm going to start accumulating bits to turn into into a KT88 output section and use the Marshal pre-amp configuration. I figure I can probably just de-solder all the socket connects and others [ controls ]from the tag boards and remove them intact and connected as they are. That would leave me with a chassis and transformers and valve sockets. I want to take all that off and clean the chassis of the top surface corrosion and then maybe spray it. Then start repopulating it with transformers and tag boards and parts.

Well this is a surprise. I ordered new caps from over there in the USA on the 13th. They arrived today. [21st] I thought it would be weeks longer, other stuff in the past has been. I'm going to try a few different preamp valves and fool around with it a bit and then start stripping it down to clean the chassis and give it a paint job on the outer surfaces. I need to order some more stuff now so I can do a KT88 build. IN They're double cans actually. They were the only ones I could find in a can configuration and high enough voltage at the right value. Gives me a spare " cap " in each can which gives it double life potentially. They'll probably outlast me.
