Probably have more humbuckers in guitars around here then most do and I just don't go in for all of that stuff. I just plug things into my amp and make sounds , then I figure out what is required to make that particular guitar sound better. Some people have way too much time on their hands and nothing better to do then talk shit about the first shiny thing that catches their eyes. Think I am going to do a 3 humbucker pup setup with Pure PAFs and just put different magnets in each one of the pups. (alnico 2 for the bridge,3 middle and 4 for the neck).

True dat.
I'm not a fan of single coils, but I can appreciate why others are. I see no reason to talk smack about something simply because it's not my preference. I use a POD the vast majority of the time. My favorite chorus pedal is a DOD. I have the first Celtic Franklin amp, and it's AMAZING, but too loud for most of the places I play. Besides, the pedal dance won't work for most of my playing. Use what works for YOU. Unless it's a Metal Zone.
Because I said so.

I've got a bunch of HB's I don't know if I'll use again. Got a PRS and a Kramer as my HB guitars. Ain't touching the PRS and I guess I'll get the SD out of the Kramer eventually.
I'll get a Les Paul one of these days. For my needs, singles are way better. The ol twangmaster does a nice job too. I see Kinman has a HB in that ballpark.

I've mainly used a classic combination of Single Coil Neck and Humbucker Bridge
Not that it matters to most. I've got info that Kinman uses magnets from American makers (not confirmed). Some feel there's something in those magnets that's different to those provided by the Chinese.
I'm getting the jones to try another set. No idea what Fralin is using. At those prices they really should be American magnets too. More expensive than Suhr, which I got confirmation from the man himself those are American.

Screw worrying about the country that makes a magnet. I'm more curious about whether or not anybody makes humbuckers with magnets made from meteorites. Space magnets.
that would sound pretty heavy.
Trust me, I'm a medical professional.
