Lexus, and its all-new 2013 GS sport sedan, has teamed up with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Tori Praver to do something that no other duo has attempted before. Lexus has created an actual race track inspired by the curves of Tori’s body. It is called the Tori 500.

Sure, Tori’s curves will inspire any warm-blooded man, but to construct an actual racetrack from them? Check out the video and pics below to see how the process played out. We’ve also thrown in some additional Tori goodies for your viewing pleasure.

In the video you’ll see our friend Scott Pruett competing with stunt driver Greg Tracy in the all-new 2013 Lexus GS on the TORI 500 track. The grand prize was a victory lap with the lovely Tori in the passenger seat.

TMR Zoo Works Out the 2013 Lexus GS at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Posted by Steve Tomassetti On February - 7 - 2012 ADD COMMENTS

Bruce and I have received quite a few perks from running this site over the years, but nothing has even come close to what we were treated to during this past Super Bowl weekend. Imagine being able to test-drive one of the top names in luxury vehicles, on a closed track, with a professional race car driver… in Las Vegas.

The happening was the 2013 Lexus GS Event at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and it was the ultimate treat. We spent the day beating the hell out different models of the ’13 GS… and they kept taking whatever we dished out and then asked for more. Well, it was the professional drivers assisting us that were urging us to push the vehicles. Its not every day you hear someone tell you to hit the corners harder in a Lexus. I have been going full tilt the past couple of days. Year-end here at TMR is no joke. We have to compile out year-end best-of lists, and this is when we plan our strategies for next year. On top of all this confusion I have to buy gifts for 5 co-workers, 3 kids, a wife and multiple extended family members.

After circling the mall parking lot 6 times and getting flipped off by a Betty White look alike I figured it was time to leave the mall. I downloaded Groupon Now! on my Droid and planed my next move. Read the rest of this entry »

We usually don’t post items like this, but we were chuckling it up quite a bit at TMR Headquarters these past few days checking out a preview of an upcoming AXE advertising campaign that will be launching in the near future.

AXE Products have rolled out some creative and funny advertising in the past, but this latest commercial takes the cake. My hat goes off to these guys in the commercial… physical comedy at its finest!

Just take a look for yourself. If you can get through this without at least a smirk, then I don’t know what the hell you’re doing on this site: Read the rest of this entry »

Computer hardware pioneer and general Apple Computer demi-god Steve Jobs has passed away at the young age of 56. Jobs had been battling pancreatic cancer since 2004.

Jobs developed his first computer, the Apple I, in his parents’ garage in 1976, which was so primitive that it lacked a keyboard and display, and customers had to assemble it themselves, despite the over $600 price tag. Next year’s Apple ][ was produced and it was a huge success, launching Jobs’ career. Read the rest of this entry »

A typical linear power strip can be a pain if you need to plug in multiple transformer plugs. The odds are that you won’t even be able to use one or two of the sockets in the strip due to a few fat transformers. There have been quite a few “solutions” to that problem, but most of them are either ridiculously expensive or defeat the purpose of the power strip. Accell appears to have combined an effective surge protector with a low price point in their “PowerSquid”.

The Accell PowerSquid surge protector and power conditioner can accommodate five plugs, even transformer plugs (even five separate transformer plugs), with ease. It isn’t just a gimmicky product with a cool name either, the PowerSquid will provide you with up to 1080 Joules of surge protection along with the elimination of static due to “dirt” power. It can be used in virtually any type of electrical set-up from your computer desk to your home entertainment system to your wood shop.

You can implement the PowerSquid in a number of ways. It can just lay flat on a surface, or you can mount it to a wall, floor or any surface. The five sockets are flexible so it can work with almost any kind of wiring set up you have. It can be used anywhere, but where the PowerSquid will really shine is in your garage or shop. I have been using one in mine for months now. Running smoothly on it is a chest freezer, a beer fridge, and several chargers for the battery packs of various power tools. Oh, and a radio too. The flexible “tentacles” allow each socket to bend in any direction it gets pulled while the rest stay put… so moving around with a power tool won’t yank your entire power strip off the wall or work bench.

The PowerSquid can be found in almost any retail outlet where power strips or surge protectors are sold. You’ll find it for under $35 in most cases, priced far below any of the “brand name” surge protectors. If you are using a power strip in your garage or shop, then you’ll want to replace it with the PowerSquid… now.

For more info on the PowerSquid, check out AccellCables.com
