Among the things I’ve asked Santa for, there is a tin Rahr and Sons sign that I’ve had my eye on, but alas, my wife will not let me spend money on making her space look like a bar. The only good thing that this restriction has created is offering more money to spend on the wonderful beers this company produces. While I have not always been so kind to some of their normal production line, this company produces some of the most exceptional one offs and seasonal brews this drinker has experienced. Big Balloon Boobs Return to Soul Calibur V
The Japanese obsession with Ivy’s breasts is just boundless, isn’t it? Last year, her boobs reached epic proportions in Soul Calibur IV. For Soul Calibur V, they’re just right there in your face.
For those who can’t read Japanese, the tagline says “This spring, your chest swells in anticipation.” Stay classy, Japan.

Miley Cyrus Topless / Nip Slip / Wardrobe Malfunction Photo? (PIC)
We’re not buying this one, but who are we to keep you from receiving the most important news. The photo posted at Yeeeah.com at the link below has been burning up the internet as of late. It features what appears to be Miley Cyrus topless in a wardrobe change. No it is not a nip slip or wardrobe malfunction, this one is allegedly Miley pulling her top down. The word is that Mily Cyrus was changing in a VIP area of an unknown club in Spain.
The photo is supposedly from the same batch of pics that were hacked from Cyrus’ cell phone last year… so why is a topless pic just hitting the web now? There is much to debate over the photo, but we’ll let you do that, we’re just posting it. You can see the censored photo at the link below, but if you click the pic on that page, you’ll see the actual nipplage: Read the rest of this entry »

Suds With Securb: Time For Bud Light to Man Up
3rd party testing lab Consumer Reports recently did a blinded controlled testing of ten popular lagers. The only standout of the ten was Coors which scored “very good” for taste and value. Coors also delivered a solid whooping to InBev rivals Budweiser and Bud Light in both taste and value categories.
The big surprise here is Budweiser and Bud Light from Anheuser-Busch InBev NV (BUD) (NYSE) didn’t even place in the value category. Adding insult to injury is AB was beaten out by Trader Joe’s store brand Tag contract brewed by Minhas Craft Brewery and Walgreen’s store brand Big Flats brewed by Genesee Brewing Company. Walgreens? Gear Review: PreSonus AudioBox 22VSL – Welcome to the Future of Recording!
When the AudioBox 22VSL hit my desk my first thought was “This is a nice entry level recording interface”. Boy, did I grossly under estimate this box. The first thing about the AudioBox I fell in love with is the fact this unit is bus-powered. I am thrilled not to have to find a free power outlet to light this baby up. The 22VSL also comes with a phenomenal easy to install user interface.
The built in delay effects and compression are all drag and drop. This makes it incredibly easy to try different settings and fuels creative experimentation. I also love the huge graphic displays of the eq, delay and compression settings. Making the AudioBox 22VSL even easier to use is it is instantly recognized by PreSonus’ StudioOne DAW. Sud Savant: Avery Salvation – Look. It’s Glowing!
Ok, so technically this isn’t a winter seasonal or Christmas beer, but with a name like “Salvation” this beer may be lie nearer to the heart of the Christmas season than any other. Avery’s religion-themed beers have earned a great deal of respect from me for their hop accentuated, malt-balanced beers, so I am more than willing to pry off the top on another one and see how it drinks. Pope Crisco: Winter Warmer by Rahr and Sons Brewing Co
Howdy folks, I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season thus far. Christmas day is a week away, presents have been bought and wrapped, and now it’s time for the part of the holidays that I enjoy the most: inebriation.
To begin the much needed greasing of the holiday spirit, I made a trip to Central Market, a kind of epicurean grocery market that offers some of the best variety of craft beers in the Texas market. There I picked out a few tasty beverages, including a six-pack of Rahr and Sons’ Winter Warmer, and a bomber of the same brew that has been aged in bourbon barrels. Read the rest of this entry »
Rumor: Guitar Hero Returning In 2012
Last July, Bobby Kotick stated that the termination of the Guitar Hero license would not be permanent, stating that the publisher was “going to use new studios and reinvent Guitar Hero.” New rumors have arrived as an Activision source claims that Guitar Hero will return sometime during the holiday season of 2012.
The source claims that the new Guitar Hero title will be announced a few weeks before E3 2012, and that the game itself will debut at the videogame convention in Los Angeles. Read the rest of this entry »
Analyst: Grand Theft Auto V Will Rule 2012
EEDAR’s Jesse Divnich claims that of all the blockbuster games that will be released in 2012 including Mass Effect 3, BioShock Infinite, and others, Grand Theft Auto V will be the top seller, even outselling the next Call of Duty title.
According to Davnich:
“It goes without saying that GTA V will be one of the year’s biggest releases, but I will take it one step farther and say GTA V will be 2012′s biggest release. Don’t get me wrong, Call of Duty will undoubtedly be huge, as it is every year and it may even grow, but if I had to call what will be a photo finish race, I will go with GTA V.” Read the rest of this entry »
Corey D. Ebner: Author (1/15/90 – 12/29/11)
It is with a heavy heart that I announce today’s passing of a TMR family member… sports writer Corey Ebner. Although he authored only a few articles for us, once you are in the TMR fold, you are always considered family. I never met Corey personally, but people I do know and respect thought the world of him. That is all the information I need to acknowledge how great a guy he was. Corey would have been 22 years old next month.
Corey loved to write about sports, was incredibly talented and had a bright future ahead of him. He was honored when we published his work, but it was us who had the honor and the privilege of calling him one of our writers.

Phenol in Cocoa Has a Fat Burning Effect
Among the most effective body recompositioning drugs are the beta-2-agonists. Clenbuterol is probably the most well known. What they have in common is that they stimulate the beta-2-adrenoreceptor in the body, thus promoting a decrease of fat mass. Use of these substances is forbidden in sports and supplements makers are not allowed to put them in their products. However, these rules do not apply to a class of amino acids found in cocoa. These amino acids are in the bean, and parts of the plant. The cocoa plant probably manufactures them to increase its resistance against disease and other forms of plant stress. Sud Savant: Samuel Adams Infinium (2011) – They Said It Couldn’t Be Done
They said it couldn’t be done. They said I’d never make it. The odds were not in my favor. Well, I’m here to tell you that I did it. I turned 30 today. I lived just long enough to make my parents feel really old and to sprout a few silver additions to my hairline (which is wonderfully intact, thankyouverymuch). Days like today call for celebration, which is why I’ll be breaking out a beer meant for celebration: Samuel Adams’ collaboration with Weihenstephan called Infinium. Quite a namesake to live up to and I hope it does. Let’s pour! Read the rest of this entry »
Pope Crisco: Full Moon Rye Pale Ale by Real Ale Brewing Company
Life is good knowing that I will have a job soon, and with another project making steady progress, I am not wanting for purpose and focus. For the most part, I have decided to take this weekend easier than most, as I do not have the burdens of no employment or tile to move for a sibling, but instead a fridge full of beer that needs to be logged.
To begin this weekend’s leisure, with a stomach full of carnitas and al pastor street tacos, it’s time for a post lunch, pre-siesta cerveza. And what, pray tell, is on the beer menu today? It’s Real Ale Brewing Company’s Full Moon Rye Pale Ale. Read the rest of this entry »
Wii U Expected MSRP Of $399
It seems that the Wii U will be one of the most expensive launches in Nintendo’s history, as reports indicate that the console will launch at a $399 price point.
In an interview, Nintendo of America prez Reggie Fils-Aime stated:
“If I’m the head of a household of a family of four, and my disposable income is $50,000 to $60,000, I’m going to continue to look at the Wii because of the software, and it’s a great entertainment device. For consumers who want to have the latest gadgets and have a higher disposable income, that’s for the Wii U.” Read the rest of this entry »
NFL Week 17 Expert Picks and Predictions (Final Week) and Week 16 Recap
Here we are. The final set of games for the 2011 NFL regular season. Oh, how far we’ve come in what seems to be a short amount of time. Our Week 17 “expert” NFL picks and predictions have been posted and are available for your viewing pleasure on our “Beat the House” contest page. This will be your last chance to win some prizes during the regular season. Of course, you’ll have four more chances to win in our round-by-round playoff pool. More on that below.
Week 16 was a push in our little competition here. Both the membership and The House notched 11 wins on the week, so therefore the House was not beaten and a prize pack cannot be awarded. After 16 weeks, the total weekly tally on the year is also tied, with both the House and members each getting 7 weekly wins a piece. The other 2 unaccounted for wins go to the Madden simulation, which had the best pick set for those two weeks. Read the rest of this entry »
