(August 7th 2008 – TMRZoo.com) From antiMusic: Baseball fans are more than likely familiar with the Bon Jovi song “I Love This Town,” from the overexposure it has received on behalf of the nation’s pastime. But Boston musician Bart Steele says that Bon Jovi stole the tune from him and he’s not happy about it. He tells us, “I got raped…my baseball anthem became the baseball promo song for the

“Shine A Light” on DVD & Blu-ray 7/29/08

Posted by Bruce Owens On August - 3 - 2008 ADD COMMENTS

(8/3/2008 – TMRZoo.com) Let me start off with saying I am a huge Rolling Stones fan. Shine A Light starts off by trying the patience of even the most hard core fan. The first 5 minutes of the film is a discussion about the setlist that goes nowhere. Finally we get to the opening song Jumping Jack Flash. It seemed like there was 6 people on stage with six different concepts of the Stones classic. While I see where Keith Richards was going with his choppy rhythmic guitar accompaniment, he simply seemed lost at time. Read the rest of this entry »

Limited Edition Boxed Set Released June 10th by Capitol/EMI
Deluxe 16-CD & Digital Collection Gathers Iconic Band’s Earliest A & B-Sides, Plus Alternate Mixes and Live Versions

It’s very easy to forget just how many hits The Beach Boys actually had. Right from the first track of this amazing, comprehensive set, one is sent back in time to a lazy summer day. The mind is flooded with memories of laying on the beach with friends, the first summer girlfriend, beach bonfires, and yes, even an occasional drunken moment or two. It’s funny how just listening to some of these classics can bring the mind back to so many things.

ZO2 deliver a huge classic punch with their new release

Posted by Bruce Owens On July - 22 - 2008 ADD COMMENTS

July 22- TMRzoo.com -ZO2 has to be one of the biggest sounding trios I have ever heard. In the tradition of Cream, The James Gang and The Jimi Hendrix Experience these guys hit you wall of sound that will bring you to your knees. The music is very raw and edgy but never sloppy or immature. The band uses classic trappings throughout the album, a touch of Hammond Organ, soulful backup singers and big wha wha guitar solos. Still ZO2 keep away from the obvious clichés.
