After five weeks and as many rounds of voting, Detroit Lions’ superstar wide receiver Calvin Johnson, Megatron, was voted in by fans as the cover athlete the upcoming Madden NFL ’13 video game. In the final round, he narrowly beat out Carolina Panthers’ rookie sensation and starting QB, Cam Newton, 52% to 48%. In the previous rounds leading up to the final, Johnson beat the hell out of the likes of Aaron Rodgers, Rob Gronkowski, Arian Foster and Dwayne Bowe. Only the vote against Newton was close, the rest were blowouts.
Warner Bros. Interactive has announced that the Game of the Year Edition of Batman: Arkham City will be coming out in North America on the May 29 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The GOTY Edition will be released worldwide in September.
