Multimedia Content Promotes NFL Network With First-Ever Two Day
Live Stream of Draft Coverage
For the first-time ever, fans can watch the Draft online as it happens. NFL.com will give fans access to NFL Network’s live telecast of the 2008 NFL Draft April 26 – 27 from Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
NFL.com’s live coverage starts at 2:30 pm ET on Saturday, April 26 at NFL.com/Live. NFL.com will stream the final 30-minutes of NFL Network’s four-hour NFL Total Access pre-Draft show followed by Rounds 1 and 2 of the Draft. NFL.com’s coverage continues on Sunday, April 27 at 10:00 am ET with NFL Network’s telecast of Rounds 3 – 7.
NFL.com/Live will familiarize fans with NFL Network and its Draft coverage and will enhance the fan experience with additional content.
On Draft day, NFL.com enhances its free live coverage with an up-to-the-minute Draft Tracker that provides real-time selection information as well as exclusive pick-by-pick analysis from NFL.com’s Draft experts. Exclusive original video, as well as clips from NFL Network will supplement the information and analysis.
The Draft Tracker also allows fans to personalize their Draft day experience by selecting both an NFL team and their favorite college team. As players in either of those categories are drafted, fans will be notified on-screen instantly.
NFL.com brings fans onto the Draft floor through a variety of exclusive video content. This behind-the-scenes material from Radio City Music Hall includes features on the six Draft prospects, each of the team tables and the excitement in the audience. NFL.com will also provide exclusive video interviews from various team facilities throughout the weekend.
NFL.com is home to an extensive player database complete with profiles and scouting reports, Scouting Combine workout results and video clips from all of the 330+ participants and Pro-Day tracking. NFL.com also offers the most complete history of the Draft available online, allowing fans to look back at NFL Drafts from 1936 to the present.
NFL.com analysts PAT KIRWAN and GIL BRANDT will offer pick-by-pick analysis through all seven rounds. Senior columnists VIC CARUCCI and THOMAS GEORGE and NFL Network reporter ADAM SCHEFTER will report live from Radio City Music Hall, following all the storylines and developments on Draft day.
Fans also can match predictions with NFL Network analysts JAMIE DUKES, MARSHALL FAULK, SOLOMON WILCOTS and STEVE MARIUCCI in the NFL Predict the Pick game, in which participants forecast the entire first round of the Draft with a chance to win a trip to the 2009 NFL Draft. Immediately following the Draft, fans can voice their opinions by grading their teams’ Draft results through an interactive Fan Ballot.
