Eight Finalists Return For Live “Wild Card” Episode Thursday, March 5, On FOX

AMERICAN IDOL host Ryan Seacrest revealed tonight that Lil Rounds from Memphis, TN; Scott MacIntyre from Scottsdale, AZ; and Jorge Nuñez from Carolina, Puerto Rico, were chosen by America to advance in the competition and join Kris Allen, Danny Gokey, Alexis Grace, Allison Iraheta, Adam Lambert and Michael Sarver in the AMERICAN IDOL Top 12.

On Wednesday night, Rounds entertained the audience with “Be Without You” by Mary J. Blige, MacIntyre performed “Mandolin Rain” by Bruce Hornsby and the Range and Jorge Nuñez sang “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me” by Elton John.

In the special live “Wild Card” episode airing tomorrow Thursday, March 5 (8:00-9:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX, previously eliminated contestants Ricky Braddy, Megan Corkrey, Tatiana Del Toro, Anoop Desai, Matt Giraud, Jesse Langseth, Jasmine Murray and Von Smith will return for a second chance to perform for the judges. After hearing the performances, the judges will announce the contestants rounding out this season’s finalists.
