After six weeks and a few near misses, we finally have our first winner of the TMR Double Play! CoopersTownBound21 correctly identified the Tampa Bay Rays as the MLB team that scored the most runs in week 7 of the season, as well as the San Diego Padres as the team that allowed the least amount of runs during that same time frame. See, it’s not an impossible feat. Read on to see all of the great prizes Cooper has won.
Oddly enough, CoopersTownBound21 was the only members who picked the Rays to score the most runs. Tampa Bay is the highest scoring team in MLB, and by a good 20 runs, and only this guy picked them? Do you all understand this game yet? As for pitching only 4% of the field picked the Padres, including our winner. The two highest-picked teams for week 7 were the Red Sox at 12% for most scored and the Diamondbacks at 19% for the least allowed.
Our winner didn’t pick the exact number of runs scored and allowed, and therefore did not hit the Nickent Grand Slam, but he did win a very nice prize package that accumulated since the start of this competition. The first Double Play prize pack of 2009 included:
