2007 Playmate of the Year Sara Underwood Hosts One-Hour Special Following Sexy “Booth Babes” at the Year’s Hottest Events
LOS ANGELES, July 14, 2009 — Every year, G4 offers fans exclusive coverage from the most talked about shows and conventions such as E3, Comic-Con and CES. Now for the first time, G4 is going beyond the headlines to present a new special that follows the sexy, stunning and often outrageous “booth babes” who provide unprecedented access and unique perspectives from the show floors. Hosted by actress and Playboy bunny Sara Underwood, G4’s one-hour special “Confessions of a Booth Babe” premieres Saturday, July 25 at 7:00 PM ET/PT, immediately following the network’s three hours of live non-stop Comic-Con coverage.
“Confessions of a Booth Babe” offers fans a first-hand look at these beautiful – and often scantily clad – promotional models as they compete for attention and try to draw crowds to their booths. From naive newbies to convention vets, booth babes come from varied backgrounds and it’s their distinctive personalities and styles that help them “work it” on the show floor.
In the special, Underwood goes inside E3 Expo, the gaming industry’s biggest event of the year, to explore how these young women were chosen and what exactly their job entails. Whether they’re promoting products, posing for pictures or fending off the frenzy, it takes more than good looks to make it as a booth babe. Another added bonus, despite trying to pretend otherwise, some E3 booth babes are gaming-addicted girls who only take the job to play the hottest videogames before they hit the market.
Host Sara Underwood is a model who first appeared on the cover of Playboy in October 2005. She went on to become Playmate of the Month in July 2006 and Playmate of the Year in 2007. Underwood had a role in the comedy film Epic Movie (2007) and has appeared as herself in the films House Bunny (2008) and Miss March (2009), as well as E! Entertainment’s popular series “Girls Next Door.”
