Valve is gunning for crossplatform play in Portal 2 between PCs, Macs and PlayStation 3s, since Steamworks will be available for those platforms, following Sony’s announcement of Steam on PS3.
The Xbox 360 will remain left out until Microsoft gives up its stranglehold on Xbox Live, says Valve’s studio manager Erik Johnson, and allows Valve to have Steamworks functionality on the 360. Valve’s agreement with Sony seems to be a potent tool to strongarm Microsoft, doesn’t it?
