David Jaffe has bucked the trend of PlayStation 3 games like Gran Turismo 5 and Heavy Rain having Move and/or 3D support foisted on them. (Not coincidentally, the former has been in development for years, with a ton of delays due to feature creep, while the latter had downloadable content axed to focus on Move).
Rather, Twisted Metal will feature none of that. No 3D, no Move, just plain vanilla video game action.
Cinema Blend Game’s Pete Haas reported that Jaffe commented at this year’s Comic Con that Twisted Metal for the PS3 will not support stereoscopic 3D or PlayStation Move for all those neo-contemporary gamers out there.
Of course, that’s not to say that 3D or Move support won’t be added post-release with a patch, but perhaps Sony would be better served if Twisted Metal had more downloadable content like arenas and cars included. You know, actual value content?
