Roger Waters, co-founder and principal songwriter of Pink Floyd, is commemorating the 30th anniversary of the original release of The Wall with a newly-mounted touring production of the masterwork, which opened with a three night run at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto on September 15, 16, 18.
Due to overwhelming demand, a seventh and final New York area concert has been added to The Wall itinerary: a third show at Madison Square Garden on November 6. Tickets to this newly added performance of The Wall at Madison Square Garden go on sale September 25 at LiveNation.com.
“Roger Waters tore down the house Wednesday night in Toronto,” raved the Associated Press after the Toronto premiere of The Wall. “He walked out to thunderous applause beginning with the first track of the seminal concept album, ‘In the Flesh,’ and the adulation never stopped.”
In addition to Roger Waters (lead vocals, bass), The Wall live touring ensemble includes: Snowy White (guitar), Dave Kilminster (guitar), G.E. Smith (guitar and bass), Jon Carin (keyboards), Harry Waters (Hammond organ), Graham Broad (drums), Robbie Wyckoff (vocals); Jon Joyce, Pat Lennon, Mark Lennon, Kipp Lennon (backing vocals).
Roger Waters was recently featured on the cover of Rolling Stone (September 30, issue 1114), on stands now.
