The 2010 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue hit newsstands everywhere today. This year’s edition features something new… and we’re not talking about the new “rookie” scantily-clad bathing beauties. The issue features JAGTAGs throughout the magazine, which is the the first 2D barcode solution not requiring a download, offering readers video content of behind-the-scenes footage of the legendary models with the simple snap of their mobile phone cameras.
Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition readers can access the exclusive content by sending a photo of a “mobile beauty” JAGTAG, which will return a video via MMS directly to their phones. Unlike other 2D barcodes, JAGTAG delivers swimsuit videos to both standard phones and smartphones without requiring the consumer to download an application or have access to the mobile web.
JAGTAG designed custom 2D barcodes for the program featuring a “bikini icon” within the code design. Mobile Beauty videos will showcase Brooklyn Decker from the cover shoot, Olympian Lindsay Vonn, Bar Rafaelli, Jessica White, the 2010 “rookies” and more.
Give it a try! Verizon and AT&T customers can take a pic of the image to the left and text it to “524824”… you’ll like what is delivered to your phone. All other cellular phone customers can email the pic to swimsuit@jagtag.com. Sure, this was just a sample, but there is plenty more to see in the SI Swimsuit issue… both girls and JagTags.
