Grand Theft Auto V isn’t the only game with a “5″ on the end of the name that might be unveiled at E3 2011. Eurogamer is reporting that Metal Gear Solid 5 may be announced at E3 too.
The source of the rumor comes from PSM3 Magazine, which teases:
“MGS maestro Hideo Kojima’s got some big announcements for E3 in June: one a quasi-logical step for an existing game, the other… well, we’d be shocked if MGS5 wasn’t on the table at some stage. Or under it. In a box.”
The magazine goes on to say that MGS5 would be “a Substance/Subsistence-style expansion for MGS4 – an avenue pursued by Kojima Productions for MGS2 and MGS3.” A console version of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is also heavily rumored to debut at E3 2011 as well.
As it is, Metal Gear Solid: Rising is due for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 sometime in the next couple of months. Let us know what you think.
