Hacker Pschorr Takes Awards International Beer Competition

Hacker Pschorr, known for brewing distinctive high quality beer since 1417 and brewed with only the finest ingredients from centuries-old family recipes in Germany, was just awarded accolades in the US.

The 2011 Denver International Beer Competition has been officially sanctioned by the BJCP (Beer Judge Certification Program). Nineteen Certified Beer Judges participated in the blind tasting of more than 180 domestic and international beer entries from more than 20 US states and six countries. The judges awarded 46 medals for 16 beer categories, including “Best Of Show.”

The brand won medals in two categories:

Amber Lager: Gold for Hacker Pschorr Original Oktoberfest
Wheat Beer: Bronze for Hacker Pschorr Weisse Dark

Hacker-Pschorr is available in these styles throughout the US: Weisse, Weisee Dark, Weisse Kristall, Alt Munich Dark, Munich Lager and Original Oktoberfest.
