Old Homestead Steakhouse, one of New York City’s most historic restaurants, just opened on the Las Vegas Strip at Caesars Palace. The classic eatery known for its quality steak selections and more than 140-year history is located near the Forum Casino adjacent to Mesa Grill.
The extensive menu includes several signature dishes from the classic New York City menu including the popular 32-ounce Gotham rib steak on the bone, USDA prime dry-aged porterhouse designed for multiple people and filet mignon on the bone, to name a few. A raw bar offers a wide assortment of seafood dishes such as the shellfish platter, chilled Maine lobster cocktail and colossal shrimp cocktail. Created specifically for the Las Vegas guest, the Caesars Palace menu also features Kobe meatballs and prime short rib in a wine reduction. Signature sides include homemade tater tots stuffed with cheese and served with “fat boy” sauce (whipped sour cream topped with cheese and bacon bits), potato gnocchi with truffle butter and oversized baked potatoes.
Inspired by the New York location’s award-winning wine list, more than 15,000 bottles are housed on-site. There is also a wide variety of champagnes and red and white wines available by the glass. For those who prefer a cocktail, the specialty cocktail menu offers a wide array of dessert martinis such as the red velvet cake martini and the pumpkin pie martini. Boasting more than 6,000 square-feet, the space features a total of 250 seats with a full dining room, private dining room, lounge and bar. The space was designed by San Francisco-based EDG Interior Architecture + Design who previously created designs for Rao’s and Bradley Ogden restaurants at Caesars Palace. The Old Homestead design pays homage to the original steakhouse and its location in New York City’s historic Meatpacking District, while reflecting the neighborhood’s latest incarnation as one of Manhattan’s trendiest and hippest restaurant, entertainment and club districts.
The restaurant is open from 5 p.m. to 10:45 p.m. daily. For more information or reservations, please call 702.862.3530 or visit www.caesarspalace.com. Find Caesars Palace on Facebook and follow on Twitter.
