Michael Clarke Duncan the hulking actor who was nominated for an Academy Award for his performance in “Green Mile” has passed at the age of 54. Duncan also appeared in fan favorites Armageddon and The Whole Nine Yards.
Michael Duncan died from a myocardial infarction which results from the interruption of blood supply to a part of the heart, causing heart cells to die.
Although his film career was brief, Michael Clark Duncan leaves behind an impressive body of work. We were first introduced to Duncan in Ice Cube’s breakout comedy Friday.
He later went on to appear in films including Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Sin City and Planet of the Apes among others. Michael Clarke Duncan will truly be missed, sleep well and thanks for the great films.
