Here we are again. It didn’t seem to long ago that we saw the New York Giants raising the Lombardi Trophy in front of the New England Patriots (again). It was a quick summer and now it’s time for some football.
With the start of the 2012 NFL season comes something that you’ve all relied on over the past few years… our free expert NFL picks and predictions, and the yearly debut of “Beat the House”, our exclusive football pick’em.
The House picks have been posted and can be reviewed on the results page of our Beat the House section.
If you’re not familiar with our Beat the House contest, I’ll sum it up in one word for this season… KEGERATOR. If you emerge victorious this season when the smoke clears, you’ll have a brand spankin’ new beer kegerator for your man room thanks to our friends at GreatGiftsForMen.com.
There is one rule change that will mix things up and keep entrants interested for a longer period of time this year. This season, having the most correct picks doesn’t guarantee you the grand prize. We are instituting a playoff-style runoff at the end of the season that will include 16 winning entrants. The top 10 players with the most correct picks automatically make the playoffs, and there will be 6 additional “wild card” playoff spots. Two of those spots will go to the contestants who have earned the Beat the House Facebook Page the most likes.
