Week 4 NFL Football Preview: Miami Dolphins at Arizona Cardinals

NFL week 4 finds many teams already in must win situations. No surprise to anyone the Miami Dolphins are one of those teams.  The Miami Dolphins’ schedule gets a bit easier down the road with matchups against the Cincinnati Bengals and St. Louis Rams. Before those games, they must first go through the undefeated Arizona Cardinals.

While Arizona is favored in this game there are factors that tip the scales in the Dolphins favor.  Arizona’s injury report shows 18 players banged up or dinged in some way. Darnell Dockett (hamstring), Jim Dray (knee), Todd Heap (knee), LaRod Stephens-Howling are all doubtful to play. Of the 18 injuries, most of them seem to be throughout Arizona’s secondary.

Miami seems to be a healthier team and the return of Reggie Bush will definitely be an impact on the game. Miami’s smash mouth running game might be just what Ryan Tannehill needs to set him up for big plays against Arizona’s depleted defense.

There is also a big storyline to watch in the trenches of this game. Cardinals defensive end Nick Eason called out Miami Dolphins guard Richie Incognito during the Alex Marvez and Gil Brandt talkshow on SiriusXM NFL Radio.

“I’ve never had a player or person in my life spit in my face,” Eason told Alex Marvez and Gil Brandt recalling an earlier incident with Richie Incognito, “It took everything in my power to restrain myself.” Eason didn’t stop there with his trash talk stating “Usually players who do that are the non-athletic guys who really can’t block people so they play dirty.”

Vegas odds have the Arizona Cardinals as a 5 point favorite with the over and under set at 39.
