The Denver Broncos at San Diego Chargers is a made for Monday Night Football match up. This game features the AFC West’s best two gunslingers. Peyton Manning has a chance tonight to move the Denver Broncos into a tie for first place in the AFC West. If Phillip Rivers has his way his Chargers will be alone at the top of the heap Tuesday morning.
Expect to see a lot of Chargers running back Ryan Mathews during this MNF game. The Denver Broncos have one of the worse run defenses in the entire NFL. This does not make Matthews a lock for a great game tonight. The Charges have not started Mathews since his goal line fumble against he Falcons in week three. This game seems like the perfect chance for Ryan to get back in Norv Turner’s good graces.
For Denver it is all about looking forward not looking back. Peyton Manning has lost five of his six starts against the San Diego Chargers. Adding insult to injury it seems that Peyton connects passes with the Chargers’ corners more than his own recievers. If the Denver Broncos can’t protect the ball I don’t see them winning this game.
