Here is your pregame update for tonight’s Thursday Night Football game tonight on the NFL Network. So far, I have been impressed with these Thursday Night Football matchups. Tonight’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Minnesota Vikings looks to be yet another great match up.
Injuries could be the tale of the tape as a relatively healthy Tampa Bay team goes up against a battered Vikings team.
Everyone on Tampa Bay’s injury list had full participation in practice with only cornerback Brandon McDonald (ankle) being listed as questionable. Linebacker Adam Hayward (ankle), guard Carl Nicks (foot), Center Jeremy Zuttah (quadricep), and the oft injured wide receiver Vincent Jackson (calf) are all expected to play.
Running back Matt Asiata (Knee), safety Robert Blanton (Hamstring), DT Fred Evans (Knee), Linebacker Marvin Mitchell (Calf), QB Christian Ponder (Knee), wide receiver Jerome Simpson (Back) all had full participation in practice and are listed as probale. Where the list starts to look troubling is safety Harrison Smith (Calf), DE Jared Allen (Groin), tackle Matt Kalil (Back), CB Antoine Winfield (Knee) had limited participation in practice and are all listed as probable.
Adrian Peterson did not participate in practice due to an ankle injury and will be a game time decision. Tight End John Carlson (Concussion) and safety Mistral Raymond (Ankle) are both ot for this Thursday Night Football matchup.
The betting lines have not moved much on this game the Minnesota Vikings are a 6.5 point favorite over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The game has a modest over and under set at 42.5. I personally like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the points and the under.
